Kendo my Way of Life

I’m José again and I would like to talk about kendo and why I like it so much, since I was a boy and one of my uncles took me to the Chinatown in san Diego, California, usa , when I spend my vacations their and it wasn’t only kendo it was martial arts and the Japanese culture and asian that interest me a lot and that was just the beginning. When I return to san Luis rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico I saw a judo competition on city hall with a classmate from jr high school that I knew, he motivate me what it was judo and to love judo, the bad thing was that I was busy back then with exams and so much tings but I will never forget him that fellow classmate of jr high school who practice judo he was like a big brother that I never had, he was who got me inspired to judo. But then on high school I saw on television what they were the samurais and that interest me a lot how they lived and all they were they were almost like the eagle warriors and jaguar warriors of the Aztec and I saw something interesting on the internet it was kendo the way of the sword and iaido the way of mental presence and immediate reaction, the way of life that the kendokas and laidokas how they lived as samurais and that interest me a lot and I tough that is the way of life I want for me and its inspired me to practice kendo first the way of the sword I tough if I can handle the wooden sword first then I am wordy to carry the katana sword and practice iaido, so I started with kendo it wasn’t easy because where I live judo is the most popular followed by tae kown do and karate but that didn’t stopped me I started with two broom sticks and cut them and I begun with kendo, then I both a shinai the sword bamboo with practices kendo and it excited me a lot I was a kid in Christmas just because I got a shinai I practice alone because judo is the number one sport and here they know what is kendo here, but I want to inspire here in san luis some one who loves kendo as I do until then I will practice kendo alone I begun with a mouth of practice and I know the basics now I begun to have burses in my hands they are little but it’s a start in the kendo world.
